YouTube is full with cover versions but really old songs or unique ones is hard to find. There is many rare songs performed by amateurs and i love it! Take some tips that will make your covers look better and get bigger audience.

 

 

 

 

Well there is a few obvious things like a full HD camera and a high quality microphone. I'm not gonna tell you the brands... Google it. If you don't have a good camera you can montage a video clip with some video footages but don't put a still picture in a video track. Its important that you recorded your sound in a very good quality so people can even download your MP3 or buy it on iTunes (if its good....)

 

 

 

 

There is something more... Something that makes you different that the others. I call it style. It can be a genre that you cover songs in it. It can be also your song choice, like if you cover only new songs or the beautiful ones. People who liked your cover style will enter your YouTube channel and wont be disappointed. Oh and by the way if you got the style then you gonna get much more subscribers on your channel.

 

 

 

 

You don't have to be too talented or skilled person to make a good cover song. Sometimes user can watch a cover version on a song he don't like just because the video content is interesting, on the other hand you can make a completely different song version and it will keep audience on you video.

 

 

 

Many times i see cover makers take the Karaoke instrumental version and just sing on it. Don't do it. Try to change the song as much as you can. Change the beat, change the notes but avoid doing it identical to the original.
